About the Landless Voices project

Under the "Landless Voices" umbrella project, the School of Modern Languages at the University of Nottingham has established a programme of research into areas which present similar characteristics regarding loss of land, in terms of loss of territory, exile, immigration, or deprivation.

Immediate research projects include:

• Turkish immigrant culture in Germany;
• immigrant culture in France;
• the Balkans;
• Mexico;
• and Russia.
